Use of HLA logo

Registered members of HLA (whether Associate – free, Full – paid or Corporate) will be entitled to use an HLA logo in their email and correspondence. This use must comply with HLA’s values and mission, as follows:

The mission of HLA is to build a community of practice for advancing the humanitarian logistics profession, by promoting cross-organizational learning and collaboration.  This community of practice is how we impact our beneficiaries.

HLA is driven by humanitarian values.  We affirm the primacy of the humanitarian imperative: that action should be taken to prevent or alleviate human suffering arising out of disaster or conflict, and that nothing should override this principle.

Various codes of conduct exist for the sector.  One widely used code of conduct is that used by the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. We expect our values to guide our staff when explicit procedures have not been written.
