Save the Children International

Every child deserves the best chance for a bright future. That’s why Save the Children is fiercely committed to ensuring children not only survive, but thrive. Bold in our ambition and powerful in our care, we do whatever it takes to save the world’s children. In our country and around the world, Save the Children is on the ground – every day and in times of crisis.

Our pioneering programmes address children’s unique needs, giving them a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We are outspoken champions for children, ensuring their voices are heard and their issues are given top priority. Drawing on a century of leading expertise, we take on the toughest challenges facing the hardest-to-reach children – especially those unfairly excluded from the world’s progress. We are proud to be the world’s leading expert on children, delivering lasting results for millions of vulnerable girls and boys. By saving the world’s children, we transform their lives and the future we share.

Save the Children’s Supply Chain function is responsible for getting the right quality goods and services to the place of need at the required time, in a cost-effective way, enabling the delivery of our programmes in humanitarian and development contexts.  We work collaboratively with other functions to ensure forward plans are in place to better manage our supply chain and to be the sector’s leading Procurement function. We consistently deliver the right supply solution, to enable high quality programmes and build a value-for-money culture across the organisation, whilst minimising procurement risks.

We are designing, deploying and managing a fit-for-purpose system-enabled distribution network, to cost-effectively distribute the ordered goods to the defined place, within agreed performance parameters. We also provide cost-effective, reliable and safe fleet vehicles to support the delivery of goods and the mobilisation of staff and beneficiaries, with fit-for-purpose supply chains to ensure that quality goods and services are available for all of our development and humanitarian programs across the world.
