Least Developed Countries

HLA membership fees for individuals are based on location.

HLA will give free (but restricted) Associate membership to those people living in and/or employed by organisations based in Least Developed Countries with a GDP (average income) per head, per year that is under US $1,700 (as published by the World Bank in 2016) – see the list below. If you work outside of an LDC or are paid by a non-LDC based organisation, we ask you to take out Full membership at US $35.

We rely on members being honest, as we don’t have staff to check all applications.  If you can afford US $35, please select the Full (paid) membership. That will help fund future activities for those that are financially less well off.
