HLA is partnering with Multimodal, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC from the 1st to 3rd May 2018.

The effects of disruptive new technologies in logistics, and developments arising from modal shift are high on the agenda at Multimodal 2018, which last year attracted a record-breaking 9,449 specialists.

Now in its 11th year, registration is open for the free-to-attend event, which has once again teamed up with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and the Freight Transport Association (FTA), as well as the UKWA, for its workshop and seminar programme.

The workshop and seminar programme features over 20 panels and workshops led by dozens of industry leaders, debating the most important issues facing our industry today.

Speakers from Network Rail, Bis Henderson Group, and Eurotunnel are all confirmed on this year’s panels, and Transport for the North joins for the first time, running a session looking at how international connectivity is crucial to driving economic growth across the region.

Hundreds of exhibitors from leading logistics companies, including BluJay Solutions, Catalonia Trade and Investment, Dachser Ltd, Freightliner, GB Railfreight, Peel Ports Group, and VTG Rail UK, have already signed up for the 2018 event.

On the first day, the CILT has put together a panel that will explore how to attract talent into the supply chain sector, which will undoubtedly need reinforcement in years to come.

Voting remains open for the FTA Multimodal Awards 2018, and you can cast your vote up until the 16th April.

Now in their fourth year, the Awards reward best-in-class across air, road, rail, and maritime services, as well as new categories for a Young Logistics Professional, and a Shipper of the Year.

Nominations can be made online at awards.multimodal.org.uk.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 1st May at the VOX in Birmingham at the close of the first day of Multimodal 2018.
