Webinar: Clean energy – using alternative power sources in humanitarian crises

April 10, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm BST

Sustainable consultancy is providing a free 40 minute webinar for HLA on the subject of using alternative power sources in Humanitarian Crises.

Footprint will look at practical issues such as generator sizing/power requirements (with a demo of a new online tool), energy, cost-efficiency and space requirements. They will explore the use of solar-plus storage and nano-grid systems, before discussing the barriers staff face in transitioning relief programs off of fossil fuels.

After highlighting some exciting new developments in the field of green aid, using a case study of Puerto Rico, we will ask participants to share their own sustainability stories, successes and lessons learned from the field. We’ll also run two live polls among attendees during the webinar.

We do not charge for our webinars, to encourage participation globally. However, we are a small, volunteer-run charity and if you are able to make a small donation to cover our IT and administration costs, that will be most helpful. Click here to donate online.
