Webinar: Customs clearance/export challenges for humanitarian logisticians

September 11, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm BST

On 11 September HLA are running a free webinar on the issue of customs clearance and export challenges for humanitarian logisticians.

IMPACCT is a project from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) based in Geneva. When a natural disaster strikes a country, the lack of Customs facilitation procedures creates delays in the provision of life saving assistance and increases costs of humanitarian assistance. The IMPACCT project aims to prepare an efficient and tailored humanitarian response in case of disasters, thanks to a powerful network of technical partners such as WCO, ITU, IFRC, Logistic Cluster or UN agencies. During the preparedness phase to anticipate natural disaster, we organized several workshops linked to key activities of our strategy to build efficient and long-term solutions.

The speaker is Virginie Bohl, a senior adviser in the Response Partnerships Section, Emergency Response Support Branch (ERSB) of UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Virginie regularly gives training on the subject.

To reserve your place, scroll to RSVP below, add place number and click CONFIRM RSVP.

For everyone attending, we’d like to gather your views and experiences in a short survey. Our speakers will review and refer to the results in the webinar. To take the survey, please click here.
