Online: Introduction to Protection and Safeguarding in Logistics Principles – Thursday 9th July, 10AM – 4PM (UTC+3)

Emergency Logistics Team are delivering an online training course on 9 July on the key principles of protection and safeguarding in logistics, with a focus on the Covid-19 crisis. This interactive session will introduce participants to the importance of embedding protection within logistics and expand their understanding of a humanitarian logistics response.

Participants will receive a greater understanding of protection implications of logistics decisions made during the Covid-19 response through case studies and discussion, and gain the skills to plan effective logistics processes with embedded protection principles.

This course will be facilitated by Valerie Craigie, Protection in Logistics Coordinator, and Will Holden, Managing Director of Emergency Logistics Team, and will include an Arabic translation component. Those working in the humanitarian sector who wish to improve their knowledge of logistics are welcomed to attend, as are professional logisticians interested in learning more about the humanitarian logistics sector and individuals keen to learn more about the role protection plays within logistics.

The fees for the full day course are $150, discounted by 10% to $135 for HLA and PHAP members.
