Caroline Loftus

Caroline Loftus, Acting Vice President, of the Children in Emergencies and Crisis Department at Save the Children (US), has 14 years of international management experience in the relief and development sector.  She is responsible for providing management support and oversight to a portfolio of over $150M, in over 25 countries - $74M of which is commodities. 

 

During her tenure at Save the Children, Caroline led the development and establishment of agency systems and capacity to secure and manage projects from donor agencies (including USAID, USDA, UNWFP, ECHO, UNHCR, UNICEF, Gates Foundation, Mellon Foundation and SC Alliance partners) and has led teams focused on accountability, specifically in the areas of resource management, supply chain management, and design, monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian programs.  She played a leadership role in creating the foundation for commodity management systems.  She was instrumental in increasing the transparency and accountability of the program through the development of audit procedures and internal reviews. 

 

She is currently spearheading Save the Children's Supply Chain Management initiative across the organization.

Prior to joining Save the Children, Caroline worked for 5 years in the corporate sector, primarily in the travel industry.
