How to join ?

HLA Membership Categories:

  • Member: if you are a logistician working in a humanitarian organization
  • Affiliate: all others -  professionals in logistics or others who have an interest and are involved in the sector and/or the work of the association and/or students and academics.
  • HR (Human Resources): representatives of humanitarian organizations whose primary interest is to post logistics job vacancies.

Membership is free of charge. If you would like to become a member, please fill out the membership application form and submit to membership@humanitarianlogistics.org so we can determine if you are a member, an affiliate, or a HR professional.

After you submit your application form, you will be assigned a member number and a user login for the website.

As a member/ website user, you will have access to a personal folder where you can add/ share documents with other members. You can also  update your profile information, add a photo, and change your password.

Recently we put together a special edition focusing on the Haiti emergency and the WFP teams remarkable efforts.   It contained stories about the different areas we work in - Aviation, shipping etc.. giving lots of facts and figures about how much food we have moved, how many aircraft we have moblised etc..

FROM THE FIELD: "Update from Santo Domingo -- the 2nd Wave"

It seems "the first wave emergency response" for the Haiti earthquake is over. Two weeks after the disaster, the first-responders who flew in to Haiti will slowly start to demobilize, to be replaced by new staff to stay for the next months. READ MORE HERE...
